Challenge

Sitting just a block from the Puget Sound with a beautiful view of the water, our customer's home had experienced years of exposure to the elements, resulting in parts of their siding being damaged and needing replacement. When performing partial siding repairs instead of a whole house re-side, it is important to match the current style and craftsmanship while also updating the material to last, which can be a challenge when working on various spots around the property.

Solution

Our team came in and removed all of the previous vertical cedar sidings and trims from the whole back wall and left side wall, as well as part of the carport roof. To match the current style of the home, we installed James Hardie Color Plus 8 1/4 Cedarmill siding to all of the areas where materials had been removed. To ensure that the new materials would look seamless with the previous look, the siding was installed with a body-color of Aged Pewter and trim color of Arctic White. The finished project meshed perfectly between old and new and updated the damaged pieces to protect the home.
